A French 19th Century Craft Lives On in Cambodia

Needing a small break from editing today, I took this opportunity to visit Khmer Floor Tile Handcraft in Siem Reap this afternoon - it's absolutely breathtaking!!! Believed to be one of only two remaining workshops of its kind in the Kingdom, the 19th century craft (imported by the French during the colonial era) of making painted tiles lives on! Every tile is created by hand, pressed manually, polished carefully....absolutely gorgeous!
